Grand Annual Report and Campaign

Dear Parishioners,

Thanks for listening to my appeal for our Grand Annual. Also, I hope you have been able to consider the information about our parish in our Annual Report. Here are my main points:

  • I am grateful for whatever generous contributions you have made in the past, including capital-campaign donations of recent years.
  • Online Giving is the way to go, to help our parish have consistent income to fund needs. Contact Sister Mary Anne to sign up or get more information.
  • We should avoid depending too much on a few particularly big contributions from a small group of parishioners. Grateful for their kindness to their parish, still we need to broaden the base of those who support the parish substantially.
  • Increased giving is needed. If any givers are contributing $5 or $10 or less per weekend, typical giving amounts from years ago that don’t meet today’s needs, could you try doubling your gift, at least, so that current-day costs can be met? I mentioned some of the costs incurred per year, and these amounts (found in the Annual Report) are challenging.

Cafe_JuliaCafé Julia

Café Julia is St. Julia Parish’s Weston “coffee house”! Join with other parishioners after the 9:00 AM Family Mass for coffee, conversation and community. Café Julia is located in the Parish Hall and is offered Sundays while Faith Formation classes for younger parishioners are underway. This ministry requires teams of 2-3 families to sponsor a weekend and carry out the duties of the Café Julia “Baristas”. If you are interesting in helping make Café Julia happen, please contact Andrea or sign up here.

No Cafe Julia Columbus Day weekend, October 12.

THE MISSION OF SAINT JULIA PARISH

We, the parishioners of Saint Julia Parish, seek to live our belief in Christ as we worship and serve Him according to His example and teachings. With appreciation of the diverse gifts of our individual members, we strive to gain the participation of each parishioner and work to ensure that everyone feels welcome in our community of faithful. We do this while mindful of God’s love for us and the power of His Spirit that makes us holy, heals our brokenness and sustains us in all the good we do. We are committed in the spirit of Christian stewardship to share generously our time, talent, and treasure.
