Ways to Give

Online Giving

Online Giving allows you to make contributions to St. Julia parish without writing checks or worrying about cash donations. You can set up automatic contributions and change the timing or the amount of your gift at any time. You may make pledges and manage your contributions to the pledge amount, and you may make one-time donations to special causes. Offertory Collections

In addition to online giving, we gratefully accept cash, checks and envelopes during the Offertory collection at the weekend Masses. The weekly offertory is what the parish depends upon to cover most of its weekly operating expenses: staff salaries, supplies, utility bills, etc.  Weekly collections have, of late, fallen very close to, or have been short on, covering the budgeted weekly expense of running our two-church parish.  The Grand Annual helps cover the shortfall and any unforeseen expenses, for example, extra plowing when there is excessive snowfall.

This year, all parishes are making a special plea to parishioners to increase their weekly giving, to make this sacrifice a concrete offering to God. 

Special Collections

During the course of the year, there are special collections taken up as second collections during Masses. These are generally for needs outside of our own parish, and sometimes outside of our country. We are reminded that we are part of a global church,  open to our Baptismal call to serve the poor and those in need in whatever ways we can.

Grand Annual Giving

This important effort traditionally supports approximately 31% of St. Julia Parish’’s yearly expenses. It is absolutely necessary for the life of the parish, and we hope that it will be fully supported.  All parishes in the diocese are making a special plea to support the Annual Fund, especially to those who have never given before.  Consider a gift of $50.00 or $100.00, $500.00 or more – whatever you can sacrifice in the name of the Lord, for His church, your church – it will benefit all of us in this faith community and will ripple outward.

“Our Faith, Our Future” St. Julia Parish Capital Campaign

To date there has been $2,344,122 pledged. Thank you for your support so far of the much needed renovation work on St. Julia Church. We still need approximately $700,000 in order to meet our goal of debt-free financing of the project.  Please call the parish office at 781.899.2611 to make a pledge towards what will surely be a very beautiful restoration of the St. Julia Church building.

Annual Archdiocesan Appeal

This year’s theme is “Offering Hope by Sharing God’s Gifts”. Funds from this appeal help support many programs throughout the diocese, many benefiting those who are under served, and the increasing numbers of struggling families. Parishes receive a portion of the total amount collected at the end of the year, based on the percentage of their parish gift to the Appeal.  In other words, “It is in giving that we receive”.   The more we give, the more we receive.

Thank you to the 95 families who contribute regularly. This is a relatively small number of contributing families from our parish and we encourage you to consider participating. It’s not too late to donate to this worthy Appeal. See www.bostoncatholicappeal.org/ for more information.  Archdiocesan Annual Appeal information and envelopes are located at the back of each of our churches.  The Archdiocese also conducts an annual mailing for this collection as well.
